Personally, I wouldn't play on a server I know was going to be wiped. I can see the appeal to some people but it just wouldn't be for me. I think you'd have problems keeping a consistently high population, as as soon as a guild/team takes over the rest of the people just bail until the timer is up and try again.

Why didn't that happen with blue Kergan?

Lots of people never seeing a raid target but still playing. Intredasting.

Live pvp servers were like this too.... hmmm.

I would play on a new server. I would not play on a server that could be wiped, and I would not play on a teams server unless it had some sort of discord faction. I think teams is a decent idea if it ever happens but there's already population issues, unfortunately, I don't see teams giving the same feeling here as it did on live and I wouldn't want my potential pvp pool to get smaller. I don't even care if discord faction brought with it severe handicaps.

edit: Although, honestly Red seems to be in a way better place right now than it was back in January. New server would prob just give the GMs more work and mess up the existing pop.

would also be good.

Luclin got a bad rap cause everyone had the wow disease when it came out, and the graphics update was a complete flop, and pvp players especially did not like the nexus. but from a pve standpoint it was fine. The zone itemization was fine too. end game raiders did not like having another VP to unlock. But w/e's there was plenty in the expansion that didn't require the month long quest to raid end game.
VT was a fucking chore, though. For the work you had to go through to unlock and handle it, it was fucking awful in terms of time commitment to just fucking clear. Items were awesome, though. Just hated being in the zone, especially since I got the gear I wanted first two clears (that I was gonna get -- I was top of my class, but low on the totem pole otherwise).

You could ghost coh mages thru VT on live. Wasn't that bad. Fast clears were like 3 hours w/o screw ups

Because blue is...blue. You can always participate in the end game if you want, due to raid rotations and FTE. If 30-40 people wanted to start on blue server fresh right now and went full neckbeard they would be in the raid target rotation within 6 months. You can't truly dominate and control the server there.
