I think you're missing the point of this discussion. It wouldn't matter if I timed out the spawns if while pulling other classes are allowed to rip mobs off me so long as they are allowed by rule.
Regardless, with others suggestion I'll probably just get a flux staff and make it a lot harder for others to rip aggro from me from now on.
I wasn't making a suggestion for your problem. It was a suggestion for everyone that does not quad kite.

If you think you can go to OOT and Quad Kite Seafury's on one piss ass Island for all day you are crazy. There is only like 10 of them. Not counting they will probably kill you ass when you run OOM.

This is sort of Bardish like. You can't sort of take a whole zone to yourself. Not counting it is a killer place for plat loot.

Anyone who gets on the mobs hate list first should have rights to kill it... On the other hand, if full minutes are going by and you haven't put any damage on the mob, you're just cockblocking everyone else and should probably give up the mob.

I took my druid to try out quading SFs and found that it took way way too long. I felt like the asshole at 7-11 counting out pennies when 10 people are in line behind me. I still do furys on my druid but I pull 1 at a time and root rot/ lumi staff them down instead. In the end its better because i'm not spending 5 to 10 mins trying to round up 4. Its hard enough to round up 1.

Indeed. I'd support a rule that if someone is taking more than 3 minutes to kill a seafury, all their mobs can be KS'ed. Seafuries are a 6 minute spawn. So if you take 8 minutes to kill one rather than one minute, you've effectively halved the rate at which seafuries are being killed.

To me, losing the main hand item slot, which would cause me to lose 100 or so mana at least, didn't seem worth putting in a free instant cast spell. But if it draws a ton of aggro, it may help contest mobs when needed.
