Here's my thoughts on the matter. Being trans is a shitty state of being. EQ is a game with a ton of escapism potential. So can flee from shitty reality and in some degree be perceived as female, which is your major goal in RL.

4 people isn't many. If, however, that seems off by the condition's documented prevalence, that either means EQ has some special appeal to trans people or the numbers are off. I'm going with both.
