![]() Dunno I think my links from 3-4 different raid guilds where they NEVER mention a single stone dropping. EVER.
They only fail to mention the stones at all cause they were so common on live that's like counting out your Tolapmuj Robe's and Protector loots during Trak kills. That screenshot would need a time stamp or be posted with a time stamp though. Cause its really easy to find a full VS corpse post revamp and try to claim that is truth, when infact it isn't. But as I said. There is a REASON the revamped version was dropping 2 stones. Its cause the normal VS was dropping 2, they just moved em over.

![]() I always remember 2 dropping even before VSR - the real cockblock for the epic was the Pod. Don't think I got mine on live until well into Velious.

![]() I've found evidence against this
http://www.moemoe.gr.jp/~yourtoy/onlinerpg/eq0104.html Page is a bit jarbled - but under the VS log you see they list what he dropped - "a DRU/RNG epic item", indicating one And then this post: http://www.eqclerics.org/forums/show...=venril+sathir Quote:

![]() K none of that is evidence. I'll break it down.
1st post - April 2001. Read my Original Post. That is AFTER the epic change. Therefore irrelevant. 2nd post (from EQCleric) - Oct 2000. A month after Epics implemented. Also a month before Druid epic solved. No one knew what stones were even for at this point in time. Also he is talking as though the "norm" loot. Which probably extends before the epic patch. 3rd post (from EQCleric) - April 2001. Again irrelevant. 4th post (from allakhazam) - Mar 2001 reply, original question which adds nothing of importance to this discussion was indeed in the Nov 2000 - Mar 2001 window of relevance. 5th post (from allakhazam) - this is the only quote of relevance. But all of my evidence points to the contrary. It clearly isn't that rare if EVERY raid log from several different guilds sites regarding VS in that Nov 2000 - Mar 2001 time frame lists 2 Stones dropped. That isn't luck. Those people who got 3 VS and 6 Stones in a reset are proof it was a guaranteed 100% x 2.

![]() I fail to see how

Why would the mar 2001 reply to the pre-remains question not be relevant? This to me says he was changed at some point to drop 2. (likely the remains fix)

![]() That first link is all sorts of fail.
VS gauntlets turning into King Vibrating gauntlets? And it's a level 39 cleric giving insight about VS loot seems kinda sketchy. And if it was changed at some point.. It was during the window Nov 2000 - Mar 2001 since all of my evidence points to a 100% drop rate for 2 stones.

![]() Regarding the first EQCleric post btw. That quote, I used that dudes guild in one of my posts. So perhaps there was a time from September-November 2000 when stones weren't guaranteed. But see this post for every kill their guild had on VS from Nov 2000 - Mar 2001.
http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=14 All of them include double stones. I tend to believe the front page updates of 4 months over a single post from a level 39.

![]() I could see that. Perhaps from September 2000-Novemeber it was changed from a rare drop and named gem. To be the guaranteed 2-stones? Probably changed item name too.
Cause a few of the original posts mention a gem. Then they start using the word stone... Originally I attributed that to the Druid quest being insolved and no one knew what the gems were even for. But maybe alpha Druid epic used a different item called a gem or something.
