I love how they had to add corrupt since every other resist can be maxed out with relative ease.

It must feel pretty pointless as a developer to create more and more zones and see the number of players drop all the time..
I would imagine so.

They should have totally added the PoP zones to the old world like they did with Fear, Mischief, etc...

Since Luclin was part of the original lore they could have added more exploration to that instead of creating so many new continents. But honestly, with 10+ years under their belts, there is only so much new stuff they could add to existing content without making the original game completely unrecognizable... of course they ended up doing that too.

I like how after 11 years many if the items on the character sheet still have the same graphic from release. Grotesque Mask, Split Paw Eye...

Qeynos hasnt been touched, so much...but Fippy was the frist raid encounter of Underfoot Exp, the current exp

Blackburrow, LGuk and so forth are usually revamped once a year for a couple weeks and offer updated items. .lol at LGuk dropping

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=75723

and similar items tho, this was a couple years old.

Now you can Raid Vox and Naggy with like 12, get an alternative form of currency and buy

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=85570

its sucks, but help lower geared people catch up

Here's a full rundown of the new features in the expansion.

• +5 Level Increase – Achieve a New Max Level of 90 and set a new standard of gameplay
• More than 800 AAs – Elevate your power and abilities beyond the norm
• In-game Housing Addition – Make your permanent mark on the world! Collect and display treasured items
• New Housing Trophy System – Display your trophies and receive statistical benefits
• Hundreds of new housing items to decorate your house to your own style
• 18 Raids – Collect valuable rewards from all new adventures
• 13 Zones – Be the first to discover untouched lands of Norrath
• 450+ Spells – Exponentially add to your caster's arsenal
• 17 Missions – Experience intriguing lore and immersive Missions
• 120+ Quests – Challenge your skills and gather useful loot
• Inventory increase – Indulge the packrat in you and collect even more game goodies
5 levels to grind so we can unlock some more aa's to grind. :/ (grinding is not bad if it's not the focus)
Buy a house and join a neighborhood (the neighborhoods might have parks and other things too)
A trophy system that forces people who don't like houses to buy/join a house so they get the benefit.
800+ AA's, spread across 16? classes.
450+ spell upgrades spread across 16? classes.
17 repetitious missions that you can do over and over again.
18 raid adventures???? (ldon? I hate instances)
Etc.

All in all, I actually kind of like the fact that they added houses. To be honest, this expansion looks more interesting to me than UF did. Not sure whether I will bite, but i'll probably try out EQ2 before I try EQ1 again. EQ2 does it all better. But for the first time since sod and mercs, this one has me interested.

But EQ1 is EQ1. SOE is SOE. Nothing can change that. I want pre-NGE SWG back.

Here's a pvp oriented mmorpg on my to-watch list:
http://www.dawntide.net/

Keeping my fingers crossed. I've seen so many failures over the years that I mostly expect them to cut off their privates and sell their soul after launching. They need to keep their expectations small. Assume from the start that you'll only have 1000 people interested and that most of your planning is wrong. Assume imminent death. Assume that people will leave in steady droves month by month until there's only a trickle of people still playing.

This is somewhat true but the difference between 600 and 700 resist is big. It's not hard to get gear that will hit 700 in all resists, but you have to train the aa's to get max resists and you also need to do the oow missions. It's true that once you have 700 max resist, it's easy to hit the cap. In fact, most people probably have 1000+ in all resists but it's capped at 700. They should increase it or something.
