I'll just leave this right here...
http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11879 Rogean liked the idea, and realized everything would need to be retuned for Velious -> PoP. Also, Rogean commenting on allowing key class AAs through epic-like quests is cool. I can't find the link, but basically allow EQ/AM3 rangers, FM bards, and other class-defining (early) AA through long quests that requires entire guilds to complete.

But some things that are after Velious buy still pre-Luclin classic include: Runnyeye Revamp Befallen Revamp The Warrens Stonebrunt Mountains I'd like to see that make it in all together at some point. Maybe 9 months after Velious? As for a server that follows the original progression exactly, I'm not interested. I'm fine playing the content as it has been rolled out, and starting a new server that will have the same content will only split the community without giving any real benefit. If they're going to start a second server, it should be very different from the two they already have.

skip Luclin and add PoP zones (no PoK) with custom content and custom 1.5 epics
loved the PoP zones. | ||

Luclin.
Focus Effects - Gear gets a whole new depth to it. Collecting one of each useful focus was a fun challenge. Tradeskills - TSes were finally useful, people actually bought stuff from all TSes. Earring of the Solstice used baking, smithing, fishing, brewing, pottery. All that stuff sold well. Also other excellent TS things were added in Luclin. Cultural armor 2.0, spiritstones and faithstones were totally boss additions to the game. Flowing Thought - finally made a stackable stat and something attainable in several areas of the game. Not just endgame raiding AAs - I have a reason to EXP on my Druid??? Awesome. Innate Camo is all I really care about. Other stuff like FT3, HA/HG/SCF/SCM/SCR/QD3 were all sweet additions too. I don't really care about the bazaar, I'll take it or leave it. Nexus I really fail to understand the hate on. You can find a Druid/wizard port faster on this server than waiting for those stupid ports to send you to GFay, NK, DL, Tox or GD. Again take or leave. But having a hub where people hang out that is devoid of any threatening NPCs is cool. Vah Shirs, sure burn the town. Beastlords acceptable. Remove all rec/req from gear.

Playable Kerra (not vah shir)
Fill in some of the gaps in the world map using later zones (like Scarlet Desert for Rujarkian Hills between Oasis and SKarana) More quests for all level ranges

Build some new expansions that extend the existing world but retain the classic progression feel. Like:
Vengeance of the Vah Shir For example, use Kerra Isle as a staging point for a kickass warrior clan of Kerrans (the Vah Shir, which enslave the traditional Kerrans) that are player playable, bent on the complete destruction of both good/bad Erudites and domination of all Norrath. Hated by all, lots of possibilities for GM events and scripted invasions like the Ring War. Use existing zones and link to Kerra and places in Odus to expand the map there and get more people into the W part of the world! Rise of the Frogloks Again, player playable race kicks the Trolls out of Grobb and takes over CT as a citadel for a Boss, turning it into a high end zone ala revamped CT except with frogs versus lizards. Lizards are exterminated. Alliances are made with good races against the evils, driving the Trolls into RM and LR. Again, re-vitalizes the S part of Antonica. Plane of Knowledge Turn the Plane into a high end raid zone reachable by spell, retain the books but need to fight to the stones and kill a boss level mob that guards them. Make a loot table thats pretty decent in and of itself. Enables access to Planes etc. via stones, would be cool multi-part raid that obviates the need to flagging as a barrier to entry - if you can kill the guard you get to zone into the plane. Guard difficulty increases with attractiveness of the destination. A little imagination combined with creative linking of Luclin+ zones would make for some super cool Classic feel play! Regards, Mg
