were do you get off on cutting at people this low... i mean yeah I've taken some cheap shot here and there, but really? is this the only way to attack my viewpoint, is to attack my credibility... or mental well being? you guys are seriously awesome PhDs in human psychology etc etc.. Although trans people may one day be mostly accepted as not-so-unordinary, it's a group of people that will never be totally accepted for many reasons. It boggles the breeder brain, says to the pack that something is wrong. Some people will see it as no immediate threat, whereas others will see it as a feminization of males in society and a weakness in our collective strength. Gender roles exist for biological and evolutionary reasons, though with our technological and sociological advancements, I don't see anything wrong with being trans/gay so long as it's not hurting anybody else. To each his/her own. You can have the support of most of the people, but not all of them, and to expect that is ignorant. Doesn't mean its right, it just is.
There are good, solid biological/evolutionary reasons why people disapprove of trans/gay people. I'll give you a good one right here: the practice of women and children first into lifeboats and such. It's so that the species may continue. If you manage to fool one of the males into thinking you are one of those women and escape a tragedy that you otherwise might not have, that doesn't help the species continue. You can't give birth and you're not a child. Most of the reason for disapproval is ignorance and irrational fear, but don't expect the rest of the world to accept you because they just should or because of a double standard. | ||
