Agree, I never saw anyone 2 boxing until late Velious. Hell, I could barely run one client during raids back then. Go ask for a group on PEQ or EZ if you think boxing won't affect the social aspect of the game =P

Sam Deathwalker on Sullon Zek. Can't remember how many toons he ended up boxing...but it was a bunch, lol. On a PvP server, to boot.
There was a guy that used to 6 box wizards on Tallon Zek sometime around the Velious-PoP era, he got steamrolled regularly. The rare occasion that he managed to have enough control to hit you with 6 nukes at once was instant and unavoidable death though

In 1999 i dont know many people who had anything other then dial up. I dont really know of ANYONE who 2 boxed, besides maybe a couple who played together and would sometimes play both at once. I would also say, they probably used 2 computers if they did.

There were quite a few at the gaming place I used to play from. It was the norm.

13? Holy shit!
Whats the most a person has boxed before? On live I knew someone who ran about 8 toons. Was are guild leader. We used to cash farm everything during Velious / Luclin, he'd ebay the money / items and level up accounts and sell them.

Was unemployed, he just played EQ. Sounded like the awesomest shit ever, but I was a freshman in high school lol
Man, I was a fiend, I think i got to 18 before I realized I had a problem lol.. had 24 accounts, but only could get 18 in before my 3 systems revolted...6 was easy though, 12 was a bit much, once I got AL down in ssra, anything was cake for me..lol

I am not bitching, just a mild complaint. I understand this is a "private" server and I will respect the rules of the house. I am just stating that I have very limited time to play and would like to spend it killing stuff, not lfg.
As much as I loathe two-boxing, I understand where you're coming from, because soon I'll have mornings off for about four days in a row. Unfortunately, even if I play p99 all four of those mornings, I'll likely not find any groups because there'll only be about 250-300 people on the server. I'm thinking of posting on the forums advertising that I'm lfg all those mornings, maybe it will get some people interested in playing during offpeak when they otherwise wouldn't.

Back in 1999 my bro and I played. We each had our own accounts. We used dialup and dialed into our ISP through a Linux box that shared the dial up connection. On occasion we would 2 box each others chars but since you needed 2 sep computers and our comps were on different floors of the house, we did do it much, usually just for buffing and such. In 2000 we got comast cable modem. At that time routers didnt exists and it was agains comcast's agreement to share your connection. We did anyway via a linux server lol. It wasnt til maybe just before Velious we got additional accts for 2 boxing. My main reason was I needed a sacrificial lamb for Essence Emeralds for my nec. So for that reason I wish we could 2 box cause id have my sacbitch, but other than that I mostly played one acct.

I boxed quite a bit in live... it got to be a dang chore for me. I'd just rather solo slowly.

But.. perhaps it's kinda like going to a swingers club and playing with yourself...
