Since Im new and this thread seems to be getting some attention. Is there any rule against powerleveling a friend/guildie?

Wanted to get the basics figured out before I start to invest heavy time into this game again.
Nope! Powerleveling is totally okay. Just don't box.

Sorry another question for the mods/devs. Will the two boxing rule ever be changed in the future? Is it still a topic you guys are discussing internally?

I promise this is my last question :P

Reminds me of this dipshit from this thread.

Banned by page 2. Because it's not like they can figure out your play account from your forum IP or anything...

You could box in classic but you had to pay for every account. If you wanted to pay $12-15 bucks a month for 24 accounts, you could 24-box. In my opinion just spend the $300+ a month to buy yourself a friend.

meh for me its not a question of buying a friend but more of a people issue when I play. Maybe it changes at higher levels. Atleast Im hoping it does.

I just don't see how this is frowned at so much. It was common place in live and no one ever looked down at others for it. I always had a shaman running around behind me.

Because everyone would 2 box here if it were allowed becauts its FREE. It wasnt free in livr and thats why the majority didnt 2 box. but here it would ruin everything you wouldnt find group and everything would be camped by 2 boxers. look at the other emu server where 2 boxing is allowed and see what happens. This rule is the MAIN reason imho for the succes of this server.

It most definitely wasn't common in classic Live. Even in Velious, the majority of people were NOT boxing.

I'm not saying that were zero boxers in classic. Some people would argue "YEAH IN 1999 I had 2 ISDN lines and 2 accounts on my 2 computers!" I'll put these people into the 1%. It became more available when EQwindows became widely popular.

It wasn't common until Luclin or later, at least on Erollisi Marr.

My 2¢ from classic playtime.

Agree, I never saw anyone 2 boxing until late Velious. Hell, I could barely run one client during raids back then. Go ask for a group on PEQ or EZ if you think boxing won't affect the social aspect of the game =P
