Christians were enslaved during the Ottoman Empire, and the Janissaries held quite a bit of power. They also weren't bred.

If you have the most basic understanding of history, which since you know of the Ottoman Empire I assume you do. Then you should understand the reasons why slavery in the US gets more play than slavery else where and at other times.

They make them about slavery to take the focus off the fact that black people are too lazy to work and be productive members of society. In effect, it is giving them an excuse for their slothfulness.

Interesting fact. Slavery was abolished in what, 1865 or was it 85? Either way, do you know there wqsnt one documented case of a white man convicted for killing a black man till the 1950s? Kinda crazy huh
