when i was 19, my friend 23-year-old friend Paul and i were on our way to a Halloween party, and decided to be dumbasses and stop at some houses to try to trick-or-treat some candy. we were obviously too old to be trick-or-treating (we both had goatees), and most houses just laughed and turned us away candyless.

then we made it to the party, and our friend Mike was there. Mike's only a year younger than me, but he's pretty short and has a baby face and so looks really young. he was dressed as Stoner Bear... like a Care Bear, but with a pot leaf on his stomach. he thought it would be funny to hit some houses with us, so we went back out and tried to trick-or-treat some more.

apparently everyone just looked at his baby face, and not at the giant pot leaf on his stomach. from that point onward, no one turned us away for being too old. we still make fun of him for it.

tl;dr -- i was a loser when i was 18.

good story but the tl dr part made me chuckle heartily.
