this sounds like a clinical depression issue for you sir. If you can only feel accomplished by working out in the gym then I am sorry for you.

I also truly hate people who think throwing random stats at people makes you right.

They have also recently proven that excercise does not significantly impact your overall life expectency - this then becomes a quality of life argument.

While working out might make your bones stronger (though probably not everyone) I would argue that the trade off is having to go to the gym when you could be doing something else.

You have fallen into the old carrot on a stick problem where you will always be chasing happyness, where as I have already found it in doing exactly what I want to do.

But to each their own. Go get all buff and then realize that you will be working for the nerd who doesnt work out and see who ends up happier.

Thanks
When did I say it's the only thing that makes me feel accomplished? It will burn off excess energy that you built up from eating carbs all day and give you a feeling of accomplishment more so then you already do feel. Also why else would you play EQ? Because it can give you the feeling of accomplishment and is that really a bad thing? Also I would love to see where it states that you can eat whatever the fuck you want and sit on your ass all day but still be just as health as the guy who works out on a routine? I think working out to you means getting all jacked and making fun on people smaller then you kinda like the word brings back bad memory's from childhood.

I think he is more so talking about weight training and not just exercising since most people think just running alone is enough to say you are pro at exercising.

i hate to defend gaffin, but he specifically said cut>buff

being cut = getting laid more than fats like me

quality of life issue indeed

also, please pull the studies that say exercise doesn't improve life expectancy .. i haven't seen that and would like to.

Working out WILL change your life.
Best advice I can give is, "Once you start don't stop."

I've been at it for a long time.

Are these 1 rep max?

Pretty high. I'm 6 2 and weigh like 200ish, and my numbers are for 1 rep max

Like 250 bench / 305 dead / 330 squat

Deads are really lacking

Yeah, I rep max.

Been at it for 10 years though.

It's like anything, you get good at it by doing it.
