You are an idiot and have not played many games on pvp servers... Just wait and see. The new pvp server will be crap just like the old one. Yes it will have a surge of players for a while, but when its all said and done the VAST majority of players will be on blue. Its a waste of time and effort. And the 'team aspect of it will be meaningless after the beginning surge. Piss and moan all the want, but mark my words. Its going to be crap.

WTF? Did you not read the last page? Development of PvP Teams has no effect on the development of Velious...so the "waste of time and effort" has no impact on you whatsoever.

Oh i read it. So what im getting is that there are people working on p99 stuff and its not velious? I dont give a damn who they are or what they are working on. PUT ALL AVAILABLE MAN POWER ON VELIOUS! To hell with the pvp server. We have one...it sucks...the new one will too...

Also, just because a ton of people log on the new pvp server in the first month doesnt mean its a success. Six months into the new server it will be crap. Of course people are going to play it initially. But after the 'Yay, a new toy' feeling wears off people are going to leave and it will be just like the old pvp server. And how you people think the team aspect of the new server is going to make it different from the old is beyond me. Just think about it...it will be basically the same as the old pvp server with people playing different races...thats all. Will it be slightly different? Yes. Will it crap? Yes. The problems people have with the old server people will have with the new server.

And Swish ill be starting a thread with your name on it six months after the new pvp server comes out to rub your nose in how poorly the new server has done.

i'm willing to bet they don't give a damn who you are or what you're posting about. has it occurred to you that the maybe people working on the pvp server aren't qualified to work on velious?

I say take all existing man power out of velious and have classic/kunark fixed to as near as perfection as possible. And then fix pvp. After that then maybe work on velious. Yeah, that's what should happen.

Velious can wait. No rush.

Nilbog (and kanras?) spend about 90% of their time developing Velious. A completely separate team is working on PvP development and don't even have access to the Velious database. Working on the PvP server is not a zero-sum game where the other gets ignored as a result.

If you're feeling antsy, it's good to remember that this is a free, private emulated server run by unpaid volunteers.. It is their sandbox, and they'll allocate resources how they choose. They certainly don't owe an answer to you or me, nor do they owe you the coddling that some of you feel so extremely entitled to. Not sure where that shitty attitude comes from, but some of you need to go open up those windows and go outside and take a few deep breaths, because you're casting a terrible impression of the overall community, who are grateful.

Would it help if a blue name said it? Any PvP work has 0 impact on Velious development.

I applied to the staff with the sole stated intention of fixing PvP bugs. I don't even have access to the content databases and I am 100% OK with that. If there were no PvP issues to work on, I would stop working.

I guess some people feel entitled to tell the staff what to do with their free time, but the fact remains that this is volunteer work done for the enjoyment of those doing the work.
