I was at work, we had a TV that had our promo video going when someone ran in and said "You guys have got to see this." and turned on the news. We pretty much all just stood around the store watching, even the customers that walked in.

I was at work but our cafeteria has a TV. I happened to walk by it about a minute before plane 2 hit. Was in complete shock the whole day.

I was working at a Navy base in central PA, the middle of the "triangle" where all the planes went down. They evacuated non-essential personnel immediately, and I remember driving home in this eerie mental fog. You could just feel that everyone on the road was stunned, while just about every radio station was carrying the same feed (except for Howard Stern who was already ranting about who we should blow up).
