I've read this book 3 times now and every time I pick up on new stuff I missed the last time. I can't believe I even forgot about this book, it's such a good read.

Log in or Register.] Normally I hate philosophical texts, and this is just a small portion of Kierkegaard's (boring) Either/Or masterpiece, but the language is so romantic and beautiful that it will have you tearing up. It reads like diary entries written by a sociopath obsessed with utterly destroying a woman by making her fall in love with him.

Speaking of middle school books, I never realized that The Giver was just book one of a larger series. Apparently I need to re-read and carry on.

1984, hands down, best novel of all time.
Closely followed by: On The Road, The Disposessed, The Lorax, The Handmaid's Tale, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, Flowers For Algernon, The Sheep Look Up, Fight Club, and most especially apt for this audience: Player Piano.

Almost all these are on my fav list. Dune and Ender series being near the top.
Additions: The Princess Bride A song of fire and ice (read it multiple times well before the show) Sword of truth series All 21+ books in the Krondor series by feist Mistborn Trilogy The Way of kings (In the spirit of this troll thread) Fun fact, many of my favorite authors are Mormans...do you think they excell at fantasy because their own religion is straight out of one of their books? Too soon?
