This is very thoughtful of you Oro.

I joined a few weeks ago and started up a Erudite Shadowknight named Obsidia. Been great so far and met some cool people. My biggest challenge has been the lack of strength and finding decent armor to wear.

Didn't exactly pick the easiest class/race combo to start off with. I hope it will be a rewarding experience.

My brother, cousin and I just started a trio on the server a few weeks ago. We are a 12 Enchanter, 15 Necro and 16 Mage. We have minimal gear and only a few hundred plat from farming sisters...

Any help would be appreciated!

Get the enchanter CHA gear, don't bother spending plat on the other characters. Around L20-25, go to Najena and get the pieces for the mage's focus items (or divert minimal funds to that). Then you three are set until planar.

Yeah, you'd be looking to get the Magicians and Goblin Magicians in Najena to get:

Broom
Shovel
Stein
Torch

Those items are used in the mage focus item quests. You can also find people selling the quest items in EC, but expect to pay 100-300pp each.
