This is a misconception. There IS a huge continuous pool of players coming in and going out.

There were 450,000 players during peak. I'm sure there are plenty that have not discovered the server and are still yet to "relive the experience". This time with cash.

I started 6 months ago. I am very social. I've become "friends" with a lot of people in that time. From my first days, Dokt (Leader - of what is left of Blackout) and I are the only ones still playing. (Although I haven't seen Dokt in a couple weeks. Dokt, I need a cleric. Please come play)

Sirken said he thinks RMT keeps players "playing". I don't fault him for thinking this. The server continues to have a healthy population, from the outside looking in.

The players RMT'ing don't stick around. I keep thinking about all those epic'd rogues wearing Fungi's sitting on accounts I know are not being played any longer. I think about the friends who started the same time I did, leveled easily and quickly being hugely twinked, then hit level 50 and disappeared when the gear didn't give them the advantage they had become accustomed to.

I say screw Velious, lets have a server wipe...start again, play to the timeline, and put this sorry business behind us [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I agree with you, RMT doesn't keep people playing. People hop on, buy top end gear with some cash, and get burned out because they already have everything they would need. They see endgame is so time consuming and quit.

I actually agree with you on something. I would love to see a fresh start.

Honestly, the thing that gets me is that Platlord slipped up. The way he ran his operationg meant that the GMs eventually got a hold of a spreadsheet that ultimately showed where all* of his assets were located.

I think he's proven time and time again that his methods of avoiding detection have been sound for 2+ years. Now some think this has to do with staff-corruption, personally I just think the dude has his shit down. He knows what he is doing. It's not like the serverstaff can really touch the guy, he had to be betrayed by someone within his own circle.

Whats my point? Unless he was truly so financially devestated by what occured that he cannot go on: he will be back. The market exists, and he has a proven method to profit off the environment.

This time he's very unlikely to make the same mistake again and have a document such as before available to anyone other than himself personally, perhaps even incorporate his business and hire employees that he would be able to hold liable if a leak were to occur.

Unless the GMs have drastically changed their RMT detection methods(not buying it), this guy guy has called it quits (unlikely), or Rogean pulls the plug (ya right) this guy is going to be back, and the cat and mouse game is going to continue.

He's not even the only one making a lot of profits off the server. So long as there are buyers and sellers this is going to be an issue, and newsflash it always has been and most likely always will be.

So who gives a shit.

*we're assuming this for the time being

No, I've actually made over 6,000$ on this server but that's completely besides the point. I just don't understand how much of a fucking loser waste of life you have to be to dedicate your time to fucking people over because they spend money on a 15 year old MMO that nobody gives a fuck about anymore. If that is what your life amounts too, being a fucking RMT detective for a 15 year old emulated server, you should be fucking shot and killed because you are the biggest waste of fucking life humanly possible.
Oh my 6k!!! I should quit my job for that shit! LOL

Fixed. You're stealing this game from Sony. For you to think you have the right to ban people because they spent real money on it makes me think you're about as big of a cock sucking hypocrite piece of shit as they come. RMT has existed since day mother fucking 1 since the dawn of MMO's themselves. Who honestly gives a fuck that some dude spent 150$ for a fucking fungi tunic. How the fuck does that effect anyone or anything? "wahhhh the economy is ruined cuz of it". No it's not you fucking retards, it literally has ZERO fucking effect whatsoever.

On a side note, I don't play this complete piece of fucking shit server anymore. Not only is the community a complete festering cancer of inbred retards but the people running it are the biggest scum bags that exist and I can only hope your houses burn down and you die irl.
So how long ago did you get banned for RMT?

That's about 11-12$ an hour tax free. More than what probably 80% of the people playing on this server make irl. I've had multiple days where I've made over 50k. That's over 100$ in a single day playing a video game from my house. So no it doesn't break down to .13 cents an hour like your dumb ass probably thinks.
So you haven't declared this income to the IRS? Anyone got a postal address for this guy?
