GZ: Hey, we've had some break-ins in my neighborhood and there's a real suspicious guy, uh [near] Retreat View Circle. The best address I can give you is 111 Retreat View Circle. This guy looks like he's up to no good or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about. [00:25] SPD: Okay, and this guy, is he white, black, or Hispanic? Both doods were idiots and excercised poor judgement. But that is why the law is there to arbitrate these things. Zimmerman damaged the use of deadly force by citizens in all our eyes by his poor judgement. But in any number of instances this could have turned out completely the other way.
We are supposed to be able to feel safe confronting people in our own homes and neighboorhoods, and other public spaces. Certain that if we must use deadly force we will not be strawmanned and made examples of by those in power. Should he have de-escalated the situation? Should the kid have gone home? Yes in both cases. But that didnt happen. Was Zimmerman within his rights to use deadly force in this case. So sayeth the courts. And we must respect that or else loose the freedom we have to protect ourselves. The problem is in the corruption of our ideoligy and the authoritarian nature of our school system. Things like this use to happen all the time and they were not a media circus. Sometimes they were morally justified other times not. Parents rely on the threat of taking a kid to the police station now for authority. Our society is wholly damaged by a fear of force. But people have an absolute lack of respect for boundaries, each other, politeness and civility due to the bullshit everyone in these threads are pulling trying to make a martyr out of one or the other. People need to know there are real consequences for violating anothers personal space or threatening them. Even if its just to stare them down in a corner. I would not have turned my back on Trayvon, but I probably wouldn't have resorted to a gun either. Than again I feel confident that I could subdue someone like that should I choose to confront them, or stun them and escape till the police arrived to detain them properly. Ya'll seriously disappoint. Disrespect the law and you loose your civilization. | ||

Well a better man might have chosen to avoid confronting a 6 foot tall individual whom they were unsure of their mental situation. It would have been a kinder thing to do than try to be a neighborhood hero. That is just a personal opinion.
At the very least he could have knocked on someones door and gotten a few people to detain him. But since we only have loosely contextual snippets from internet forum trolls. No one can say. Therefore the law is just. It is why this guy was tried before his peers. | ||

Based on the life expectancy of males in Ancient Egypt (~33 years old) Trayvon martin was more like a middle aged man. So stop calling him a kid.

People are calling this dood a hero to troll people in a political way. It is extremely low behavior in my eyes. Who's agenda do you really serve when you make a mockery of a situation like this? It is certainly neither Trayvons or Zimmermans. And most likely not your own.
Despite your short sited belief that a successful troll is a positive force in this instance. And if you truly desire negative results from your behavior. You need to seek help. | ||
