When I had satellite internet for about a month, I always got 1017 error, could never play due the fact that packages or something rather weren't being sent often enough or something along those lines

Have you installed the AMD Dual core optimizer program? It was designed specifically to help out on games like EQ that don't utilize the processor correctly.

Why are we focusing on this being a hardware issue and not a network issue? ; especially given the symptom of having access to red server and not blue.
-Can you connect to other EQ EMU servers? -Have you done any trace routing on the blue server IP? -Compared packets when connected to red and comparing them to the the attempts at blue which end up failing? -Can you hardwire the connection? ... | ||

A good person to ask about EQ while deployed would be Ambrotos, who is also deployed. There is a good chance there is nothing you can do about the 1017. 1017 is basically stating the heartbeat packets (or whatever they are called) between the server and client aren't functioning properly. This could be due to anything from dual-core processors (http://www.thesafehouse.org/forums/s...ad.php?t=25756) to unreliable internet connections (satellite). You may attempt to improve the reliability of your connection by taking out as many factors as you can control (read: swap from wifi to hard-wire (ethernet) connection). But there is also the chance you are simply SOL and not in a 'cats on the moon' kind of way.
