This is the same defense we saw over on Fippy over the nuclear arms race we call the SK MQ2 Wars. Specific guilds were guilty of doing it but they each used the other doing it as a justification for their participation. It implies you're complicit with it happening and
don't want to or don't care enough to deal with it (IE make a stand, whistle blow etc..).

In the end the whole notion that everybody was participating in the MQ2 stuff was a giant farce, it was a small group of people in two specific guilds that ruined it for the whole server. Nobody within those guilds who knew about it had the balls to step up and call anybody out on it and provide evidence.
By your logic you condone murder because some people do it and you are aware that happens, even if you aren't doing it and you don't know who does it.

Edit: Actually saying that gives too much credence to your illogical belief that TMO members are more likely to even RMT than anyone else, but it was probably not worth the time to try to make a point to a certain mindset anyway.

to say this is a reach in logic doesn't even begin to describe how fail the reach actually is

Actually, that's not the same logic at all.

Yes, I recall when this happened. On my server at one point GM would just give anyone who had the piece to hand in to the golem and zoned into fear the oil.

There are a couple of other things that made me wonder about the wizard hate. Skyfire evac point for instance. At one point in PoP I even hear they considered giving Strike of Solsek a percentage chance to backfire and cause 300 damage to the caster.
It was really bad on PVP servers - they gutted Manaburn (I think this impacted PVE as well, with some cap on the damage that made it absolutely awful) and there were tons of limitations - you could only do a certain % of health maximum with a nuke, all nukes only did a certain % of their damage against players anyway, etc.

Made all the high damage nukes absolutely worthless.

And don't get me started on Wizard vs Magician, where at one point (PoP I think) did 80% of a wizard's nuke with a storebought spell (ours was a high end boss drop of course) yet had the pet which beat out Wizard DPS all by itself :|

They seemed to ease up a bit later on with the familiars and later content like Omens of War.

I doubt you have any chance.

I went to check on Verina Tomb (a far, far lower priority target then VS, I'm sure), and there was 3 bots at there at the spawn point.

The state of game regarding these kind of spawns is just absurd. I don't require an epic to enjoy the game, so I'm just going to play around it all and have fun where I can. I suggest you do the same, or guild up and join the poop-socking party.

One nice thing about not getting an epic is you can look for upgrades in Velious, which will make it more fun/interesting when that time comes.

Verina Tomb on live also had the benefit of weekly server resets. As it stands now enchanters are at the mercy of the RNG.

SoE really hated Wizards for some reason.

At one point in the PoP-era, they tinkered with some faction and broke the broken golem spawn, which caused it to get gibbed as soon as it popped by the other denizens in fear (probably Fright/Terror/Dread).

I was bound in fear and would check every single day by solo'ing enough mobs to run an Eye of Zomm over to the spawn for *over a month*.

In constant contact with a GM, their staff finally found out that the spawn was indeed broken, and after I begged him to pop the mob so I could get a group to kill it - he simply handed me the oil and said "I think a month is long enough".

(I'm not making this up. It's how I got my epic)
The (kunark) CT skin was so rare on live, every wizard would have probably given up on getting it here if it was like that :P.

even if your odds were even, it would be odd to even audit the odds

I remember hearing about this but I don't know of any first-hand reports - IIRC it cockblocked almost every Wizard on every server except a handful that were able to complete it (it was of course one of the last epics to get completed by any reasonable number of people) because the Cazic Skin was something like 1/32 or 1/56?

You basically have a 0% chance of getting your epic right now.

I mean, that's what epics are, really. They are hard to get. You either are in a raiding guild, or you have a lot of money, or you have a bunch of high-level friends AND get very lucky. Even in Velious it's not like you can just waltz into KC and find VSR and solo him at level 50.

If you don't want to do at least one of those things, then you shouldn't have an epic. People rage about TMO, but this is classic imo.
Disagree with this, but I suppose it depends on the server ya played on.
