+75% exp seemed like a good balance for a pvp server, probably why pop was increasing steadily.

Yeah, players with low amounts of spare time...forced to solo or LFG and log back to blue.

The catch 22 of the server. XP bonus eventually brings a new population, people find groups and level too quickly.

XP bonus is taken away (sorry..."reduced"), people can't find groups and either level solo at a snail's pace (for the hardcore only it must be said), or go back to EZ mode blue where groups are guaranteed.

How many 60s would have made it to 60 with the current XP rate?

Coming from a new player, The exp nerf does suck leveling up for sure. It basically weeds out the hardcore/lots of free time players from the semi casuals, Up until like 40 I have just started seeing some pvp action and with majority of people already 50+ you literally NEED to be on the other side of the level gap. I have enough free time that I can get by with exp how it is, But I see how it deters other people who either don't work at home or work normal long hours and only have a few hours at most to play a day at max if they ignore everything else irl.
My character was created in December of 2011 and I'm level 42. This grind is great.

There's almost no one to level with.

More solo grind box than pvp box that people are expecting when they roll here really.

Grind 35 lvls without pvp or anyone else to group w/? Yeah most won't stick around.

And when you get to 52? Bundies are out lurking to bard stomp you with a caster pal.

Yeah the previous exp bonus wasn't making it easymode - but was allowing population to increase, almost over 200 nightly for a week or so... knee jerk changes back to snail exp when the population is finally climbing is fucking stupid.

It wasn't even that fast which is the funny part.

As much as it helps to have that extra exp bonus it is equally important for players to come here and not feel screwed because everyone else got a benefit they did not. That feeling of missing out on something really hurts the chances of someone staying, even if it was something small.

It seems like most of the population is here because there is nothing else. It would be nice to make this server so that people choose it because it is awesome. The people have spoken and there are obvious changes along with some controversial changes.

Obvious
- change exp bonus to what it was so everyone gets a shot at it
- Yellow text
- no exp penalty on pvp death

controversial
- changing pvp level range
- put in item loot

I get why the pvp level range and item loot hasn't been put back in but the obvious changes should happen. I don't think the server has much of a threat of losing the main pvp crowd but I wish it would try to attract new players instead of being content as the only option.
