oh yeah like I said before

If their job security revolves around a problem existing... then they will definitely tell you a problem exists.

Also, fossil fuels are bad, really not sure why it requires a scientist to tell us that.

these are 2 independent truths.
Why are fossil fuels bad? I mean, they have downsides, but they also have tremendous upsides like enabling billions of people to live and thrive.

I don't like nasty pollution and emissions either though. You know what's extremely clean and safe and efficient? Say it with me: nuclear power.

yeah absolutely, nuclear power is where it's at. unfortunately the masses are too stupid to understand the science, and the fact that nuclear waste is actually solved.

so everyone stops listening after the word nuclear, and therefore no politician ever brings it up.

nuclear nuclear nuclear should be the name of the green energy game

zero environmental footprint

coal fired plants generate more ambient radiation than nuclear

fossil fuels are dumb for alot of reasons starting with the effort and cost involved in accessing them, the facilities to process into various forms to make them even usable for energy, and definitely the garbage they leave behind after we're done with them.

i hope that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles become a thing, I don't like the idea of battery powered vehicles even with better tech than is available today. battery storage is so tempermental, like in extreme heat, extreme cold, energy storage over time, the limited range etc.

there isn't much fixing that either, chemical reactions become stubborn in environmental conditions which are inconducive to their function. unless they figure out a way to keep a battery the same temperature all the time, it's just not feasible for the masses.

So the Republicans knew they were gonna lose in Ohio, so they tried to cheat and change the rules.

It failed spectacularly, abortion will soon be solidified in Ohio. Can’t wait for the turn out especially after the major L the GOP just received.

Let’s push for more norms and more acceptance in society.

Progress needs to take place if we are going to tactical world changing events.
There are lot of fixes.

Congrats Blue rings true!

Change the rules or change the rules back, now that we're now no longer in a pandemic, y'know?

Even some of Mr LaRose's fellow Republicans have spoken out against Issue 1.

"You're talking about changing a part of the Ohio constitution that has been in effect for well over 100 years," said former Ohio Governor Bob Taft, a Republican. "And it's worked, it's worked well, the system is not broken."

Ohio's Issue 1 as part of a broader tactic employed by anti-abortion advocates to circumvent public opinion in service of their ultimate goal, outlawing abortion entirely - a goal that is unsupported by most Americans.

These manoeuvres are possible, Ms Ziegler said, because in so many cases Republican politicians fear the anti-abortion lobby more than their own constituents.

As long as he doesn't introduce himself as Dr IRL and insist on people calling him "Dr" [first name]

When people do that, I make it a point to "accidentally" forget to put their title in when speaking to them as many times as I think I can get away with

I’ve thought fossil fuels could be key to unlocking an unknown tech tree down to road. Would suck to use it all up and find out it had a better use, like curing baldness.
