all the politicians on both sides of the aisles are bought and paid for by large interests, there aren't anymore on-the-fence politicians for lobbyists to lobby, the only thing they do these days is offer more money than the last lobbyist that they had a meeting with

doesn't matter if you vote rep or dem, doesn't matter what those reps or dems say on the campaign trail, after they are elected into office anything on the campaign trail gets thrown out and laughed at, then they do whatever they promised their big money donors that they would do, and then a few years later they get a super cushy do nothing 6-7 figure job at some nameless corporation as payment for their "public service" of drafting legislation which was favorable to that corporation

there is literally nothing else going on, nothing deeper, nothing more complicated.

The entire government is just a few thousand people greasing each others palms before they jerk each other off.

I was told America is not 1930's Germany because what we lack here is a powerful left wing, which means we aren't gonna get a Night of Long Knives.

However, the politically illiterate think Democrats are left wing here. I wonder if that means they can serve as substitutes when the time comes. Given how guys like Pence and, uh, Dan Quayle may have "saved" democracy it seems like a tall order.

That and a lot of Americans get winded if they watch a video of someone running, I don't think the Germans had that problem to the extent we do. However, we can't go buy meth and heroin at the corner shop like they could.
