The Enlightenment was one of the best things to ever happen to humanity, it is the Western political legacy, and theocratic-Islamic societies like Palestine are wholly incompatible with that. Israel and Palestine have both done horrible things, but only one of them at least attempts to be a modern liberal democracy as well as an ally of the West. That alone should be enough of an impetus to not go waving Palestinian flags in the court of global public opinion and discourse. Just totally antithetical to US interests. And it doesn't matter how much of a contrarian, subversive political hipster you are-- fundamentally, Western interests are the path that leads to greater justice and liberation, when pitted against Islamic theocracy.

The palestinians are oppressed more by other arabs, the arab world, and the government they chose to elect (hamas) than anything israel has ever done ever. It's not even remotely close, it's an incredibly easy moral question and the only people who have a problem with this analysis are moral relativist idiots.

Hamas violated the ceasefire. There was a perfectly functional ceasefire in place until oct 7th. Take it up with hamas if you want a ceasefire, and maybe tell them to stop being bloodthirsty religious lunatics.
