Respectfully, some of the people disciplined weren't always implying favoritism. That makes it sound like there's some gray area, or that its open to interpretation. I don't think you can imply the Core chain suspensions, for example, were a result of favoritism.

Sirken actively participated in the politics of the raid scene instead of being above it. He absolutely played favorites. He, in effect, made more work for himself by pitting sides against each other, holding double standards, and meddling in conflict resolution between guilds when it wasn't needed or requested which then led to more rules (many unwritten) and added to his work load. And despite any protestations, he loved every minute of it because he got to rule impulsively with an iron fist. Which he did.

For a great GM, you need to find someone who gets some sort of satisfaction or reward out of their role thanklessly helping the ungrateful which motivates them to put in the effort Sirken did. But you need them to simultaneously be well-adjusted enough to not "need" it. Good luck with that.
Roegan, please unban the dozens of good players that sirken impulsively silenced during the last month or two of his burnout. Lots of people that loved this community were permabanned for implying "favoritism", and since then it has come out that he absolutely played favorites and tried to quash anyone who pointed it out.

People have been walking on eggshells recently and I'm sure you'll agree it's really unhealthy.

I just want to know who is replacing him on the food chain and will that person finally give me my Vp key back? I really want to zone in and lose my corpse for a week. On a serious note will this New sirken (who ever he/she might be) have a "sirken p99 twitch cast? I love to not be invited to speak on that as well.

The jury came back with a decision.

“In the case of Siren vs. Sirken, we the jury find the defendant not guilty. But a blood marker still exists, so it must be honored.

Red fights to defend Sirken’s honor, Blue fights to destroy it.

With PvP enabled, Red players must defend ToV’s entrance on Blue99. If a single dragon in ToV is slain that night, Sirken’s GM toon will be executed publicly via his podcast and Blue will get a simulated repop once a week for a month. If Red players succeed, Nizzar and his Nihilum cohorts are freed from their prison and Sirken is reinstated with full honors.

You decide.”

If you need an explanation of what being disrespectful means you should probably just not post anything

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

This thread reminds me of how the blue community noticeably improved the day red opened and most of the unhinged e-thugs emigrated.
