She was a "noob" to say her mea culpas so readily. Of course we're going to nod obediently when Sirken is standing there. We do admit that charming an engaged mob is bad business, but we do not agree that we had any way to know that the mob was engaged before tash landed. (Getting *really* tired of repeating this part) We assumed that he quickly looked at the encounter log or whatever to verify that you guys tagged it with melee before tash hit. Between that and you smugly saying that we were "charm KSers, tsk tsk" we came to realize how things had gone down. As I explained before, Sirken said "not ok to charm engaged mob"; she replied, " I understand" - NOT, "I admit to knowing it was engaged before my tash and I charmed it anyway".

As she and I have talked about it here and there over the last couple days, our understanding of each other's experience has grown. Maybe that's why my story has evolved a bit, but I never said anything that was untrue to the very best of my knowledge. I'm still not sure what you're talking about, though. Dreenk kept trying to point out my inconsistencies, but there just weren't any - it's like he's literally reading this thread in a funhouse mirror reflection, trying oh so hard to distort things to his advantage and win his first "big case", or something. It was sad, really. I literally feel sorry for this guy because he obviously thinks he's doing such a great job...

Incidentally, I'd like to point out that my wife is not overly discouraged after all this bullshit. Even though she absolutely detests the PvP metagames of EQ that are so grossly manifested on P99, and in times past would have vowed to never log in again. (She always comes back, though). We're gonna get that damned belt, and it's probably going to spend some time on her twink rogue. We will adapt to this new (to us) playing field, even if we think it's stupid.

Can't I be ironic? Of course no one wins this.
