you would be surprised how little a car can matter to you once you no longer have a daily commute [You must be logged in to view images. I am hoping to become a millionaire on passive income so I believe in keeping expenses very low, since I see the value in an ascetic life anyway and have all the nice things that are important to me (mostly computer and wardrobe). Have I touched a nerve on you, moloch worshiper?

he's a dick to me too but i would hardly expect a ban based on this. it's mostly racism that baits enforcement and now denialism about a virus that has killed 600,000 Americans, that is to say, 600,000 dead countrymen. 600,000 of your dead countrymen who died. Decent, patriotic types wind up with churning stomachs when they see denialism about 600,000 dead countrymen of theirs, 600,000 of whom died, and yes I am referring to human beings from the same social organism known to some as a "Nation", a word left meaningless (or indeed profane) in a country which is 90% neo-Liberal politically, but which is still ingrained in the minds of many who were programmed with countervailing programming up until maybe 2008.

So there is this natural effect where the people who are more intelligent than you or have lurked more than you get incensed, which means angry, because you have abandoned the country-men of your nation-state to die up to the number of 600,000, but deny that it has happened because you are unwilling to face the moral implications of your very, very small and fragile political perspective, or are otherwise for unknown reasons simply incapable of behaving with decency or tact. This sort of thing upsets the people who call themselves civilized, who experience a thing called "love" they even deem an emotion of its own toward other humans, and baits enforcement on online platforms (which are run by human beings). It is no cause for outrage that others vomit at the sight of your callous, belligerent, ignorant POV if you are genuinely happy with yourself as you are, but if not -- I do feel your pain and wish things get better for you
The CDC's own numbers state 94% of that figure are people who had comorbidities

It's a nice talking point to keep repeating 600K, but not accurate

For example, if you weighed 600lbs and had late stage diabetes and died, if traces of Covid were found in your system your death would be labeled a Covid death

That's not a conspiracy Theory. The CDC has admitted this.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/med...ns/ar-BB18wrA7

Quote:
According to the CDC, comorbidity is defined as: " more than one disease or condition is present in the same person at the same time. Conditions described as comorbidities are often chronic or long-term conditions. Other names to describe comorbid conditions are coexisting or co-occurring conditions and sometimes also “multimorbidity” or “multiple chronic conditions."
If you remove comorbidities from the equation the true death toll is around 30K which isn't even a bad flu season. Ironically, flu numbers last year were literally 0.

that's so funny, I had literally half-written a double post in my head. "inb4 you call me mediocre for my class position while not on the treadmill and fully independent well before you". Worked about 8 years out of college, landed an executive position at a small tech company and retired after a small bump in the road (the loss of use of both of my hands, the challenge of which was probably weightier than anything you've ever witnessed let alone done), and I survived that episode thanks to this frugality with a good enough position to launch a legitimate attempt at living on passive wealth. Have a clear path to wealth and assets that generate income. I get the feeling you definitely can't relate but, uhh congrats on the job and massive status anxiety? Does the car feel like it depreciates less when you're in an hour of traffic a day in the thing? Maybe so.

Why would I flaunt wealth before I have it, Toxigen? THAT would be "happy with mediocrity". No, we actually work and study (and play) pretty hard over here and that capital is being used [You must be logged in to view images. I treated myself to a laptop at (landmark), the first expensive toy I bought myself since teenager other than bike things, and I'll treat myself to a car maybe at one million. Bleh probably not even then, lol. Read Buffett's biography.

Reply how you like from here but there is wisdom, planning, positive intent, self-confidence and hope in my post and you just bray "buy a nicer car poor". You are not representing high class or wisdom here literarily or financially. I can't splurge on a car until I build my father a cabin on the family land. He's the one who had me reading Stephen King at age 4 -- not high literature but he did the best he could, and the results are visible. I am better bred than you and love my family more than depreciating vehicles which demonstrate by their appearance that I wasted money on them. [You must be logged in to view images.
