No doubt I am not perfect. No one is.

But...

Wasn't it your own admittance you needed your parents to put you back on track to get an education.

In America where the number of guns out number the population it isn’t worth it. You only get one life and regardless of what you believe in when you die there is nothing after.
Check your math science boy. You've come to error.

A living person can have 15,000 guns or more.

A living person can only live once.

Their are things worth fighting for in your life; like loved ones - not small monetary things that can be replaced through insurance.
It’s a bit deeper than “things”

Criminology studies have proven some sort of “broken window” effect which I’ve heard of many times but can’t explain that well. Basically, crimes like vandalism and theft encourage more crime in any particular area. The “broken window” sort of de-sensitizes the population and normalizes crime to potential future criminals

There’s also the psychological effect of living in an area with lots of theft or especially witnessing it. Do you think if you happened to be in one of those stores you would be able to pop some headphones in and skip by the looting without a care in the world? Or would you be afraid, not knowing if this was some junkie psycho who might decide they won’t want witnesses

Not even counting the inconvenience of losing jobs when the stores close down, or having to drive far out of one’s way to shop, people in those communities don’t deserve to be living in fear on a day to day basis

With no moral foundation, if the robber had killed the clerks, it would be justifiable to Botten because the robber would have gotten what he wanted
This coming from the guy who honors a president who said:

“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”

OR telling a P.O.W.

"I like people who weren’t captured"

Shame on you.

I dunno what that is but math has rules, son. You can't just compare the price of tea in China to Queen Mary's pubic hairs.

This is where private security comes in - passing on the cost to the paying customers who will return (enjoying the safety).

As for the other - always be ready especially when it is your responsibility for your well being and the loved ones who count on you.
