How is "video game emulator" relevant. Its just a venue. How people act in a game is just an aspect of who they are. Video gaming is not a separate entity from your persona. People have good and vile sides. Society demands we lock up our vile side usually. The internet allows you to be vile without repercussions. Just because you keep it locked up at home, doesn't mean it isn't you.

Obviously you were lost on what emotionally compromised means, basically you are allowing your feelings to influence your thought process. The form of mental compromise I was impyling is that you are allowing you're suspicions to influence your thought. Not evidence just bad logic.

I am not saying you're are a psychopath or in some way mentally degenerative. However, you aren't living up to the potential of your brain by choosing to remain compromised instead of getting valid information for your decision processes.

Not sure what my "real life" has to do with obsession. Unless you are talking about human psychology then yes, I find it very interesting and my brother is actually a research psychologist.
Okay doc.

I'm sorry if I don't seriously answer your post, I just believe such discussion doesn't belong here, even though your argumentation is well built.

On my side I'm much more interested on social aspects of everquest. Some people play because they enjoying sharing with each other. Some play to forget about society. Some people compensate an inactive social life by an utterly active virtual life, etc.

There is a lot of grieving on p99, I do believe some players out solely trigger their satisfaction by grieving other players.

Anyways it's an interesting topic, starting EQ when I was 12 is what gave me the taste for commerce, 13 years later I'd graduate from my MBA from a top business school. Ehhh, gotta be thankful for that atleast.

Personally I think in the next couple decades most of our "real life" will be digital. Work, school, entertainment etc.

So its interesting to me to try to understand how we are going to integrate a "real" soceity into the virtual world. What repercussions will there be for going agains societal rules? What happens to the people who only want to cause grief? Fun thoughts.

Every single guild that has zoned into VP since the IB fiasco has zoned in solely to grief TMO and not to attempt dragons.
What about those who zoned in VP when TMO was under raid suspension ? did they zone solely to grief a suspended guild and not to attempt dragons ? Then why did Phara Dar die a few times ?

Ah, crypt group. Totally better being in a crypt group and trolling the forums than no longer playing and trolling the forums.

here, let me log in and do meaningless button pushing so that I too can troll the forums with "coherent and sincere" posts.
Oh, I see, crypt group doesn't count as playing on Project 1999 in your completely fucked up tiny brain. This wasn't even a good attempt at moving the goal posts. You were a shitty player, you're an uninteresting troll, and I can't recall you ever saying anything worth reading at all. Goodbye.

no, it counts alright.

I mean, it vastly made your stance far superior due to the fact you troll the forums and log in.

Instead of doing 1 pathetic thing, you're multitasking and doing twice the pathetic things.

You're like a pathetic superstar.

Judging people by what they do in an elf simulator (thanks pico), as if you've appointed yourself as King of the Elf Simulator.... blah blah blah, you get where this is going Alawen, The king of spending his entire worthless life being one of the top 150 (grants on 149!) players of everquestdom.

Bet you probably framed your EQ successes to show your mom too eh.

Just kill yourself.

I have an idea. How about if I stop playing much or posting much next week when classes resume and you can continue talking a lot of mindless shit while you fantasize about Hepatitis-infested whores covered in graffiti like the walls of the shitter in a dive bar?

Your mad is showing more and more.

You shouldn't be so concerned with your online gaming life/rep, there is so much more out there in the world.
