Imagine if during 9/11 nearly 51,000 Americans died, not the 3000 people that actually died. Imagine if it wasn't Osama bin Laden who did it to US but the dictator Govt of a country of 2.2 million people who had a military force of 50,000 people. How would the USA respond?

People that compare 9/11 to Oct 7th get the comparison of deaths compared to population wrong by a factor of 16. That's the level of damage Israel just faced. 1400 Israelis dying out of Israel's 9.2 million population is equal to 51,000 Americans dying out of USA's 335 million population. Israel faced an attack that is equal to an attack as if 51,000 Americans were killed.

Also you get immediate, graphic, high-definition images and videos of horrifically malevolent torture & mutilation of those 51,000 Americans... rather than blurry, unfocused, or distant pictures/videos of Americans falling out of the tower, and sanitary enough for the 5:00 news that most 2001'ers were still relying on for information.

But I think the problem with a lot of these peoples' worldview is they view America as an evil monolithic oppressor, so they couldn't give two shits if it gets attacked, as long as the person attacking is a brown muslim and not an orange retard. Without realizing that the US is definitely history's gentlest hegemon, both in absolute and relative terms.

I was making the comparison because people, including myself, have said that Oct 7 was Israel's 9/11. I'm saying Oct 7th is actually 16x worse than 9/11 on a per capita basis.
