Also, I love the Great British Bake-Off. That show shows me the vast amount of stuff I don't know about baked goods. I was always a better cook than baker.

Great British bake show and their family version of the cook off and monte dons gardening show are global treasures.

Probably the only thing good aliens may appreciate about us in the long run.

So you didn't do it!

I have collected several recipes. Really want to try the air fryer version.

U probably used the wrong oil and onion type?

Why'd u say u would if u won't? Please tell me you like onions at least!

I agree sauce matters a lot too. U must also share sauce!

Needs pics for mission complete!

Also thx for the recipe!

I did do it, in the airfryer. It just turned out bad. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Think I cut it wrong. Tried to use a rimmed lid for that part.

I'll try again and cut it better when I remember to buy more flour.

Maybe.

I look at that recipe and I think I want to try it with panko. I use panko when I make schnitzel. Maybe I'm just a panko fanboy.

Panko is a much better friend to the air fryer than flour. Latter sticks like hell, but the foil sling worked well.

I've never even tried to use an air fryer. Good to know. I have a tiny regular fryer at home, but I don't think I could fit a whole onion in it. My dad swears by his air fryer, I'm just glad using it has gotten him to eat vegetables.

But what type of onion did you use?! I've been to Vidalia, Georgia, specifically for the onion "museum". Museum is a generous term for that little thing.

I used red but the recipe did call for Vidalia. Big yellow one I think?

Wasn't why I failed.

Just curious. I love all onions equally. I make scallion oil sometimes just for this or that other thing I cook later in the week.
