i suppose it will boil down to an agree-to-disagree situation; you will never see it in any way other than the way you saw it in the heat of the moment, and i just don't agree with suddenly treating a common situation drastically differently just because it happened to you and you're an officer. i never freaked out when hona would attack me at raids and spam me with threats, including real life ones, in tells. i would hope that if i acted that way publicly, i would also be brought back down to earth. i also do not agree with an officer believing that his actions are untouchable when every other officer disagrees with them. the guild has just never operated that way.

it's rather disappointing that someone like yourself, who usually gives off an attitude of calm levelheadedness, is taking it beyond the game and playing the "we can't be friends anymore" card over a situation where we just wanted you to take a step back, calm down, and reasonably approach the issue. i still consider you a good pal at the end of it all.

People don't kill people on raids out of malice, hardly ever. The reality is that the particulars didn't/ don't matter. I didn't like it.

Raids and TS bans are not unprecedented in raiding guilds. In fact, I had brought those two things up many times as a better way to punish people for being stupid. It just so happens on that day that I chose to use it. It wasn't remotely severe. It wasn't ordinary for Empire, but it was by no means a ridiculous response given who did the deed/ how clear it was that I wasn't pleased.

To say "drastically different" is mischaracterizing it. For how you and Gongshow deal with issues like this in Empire, it's par for the course. Terp steers clear of shit like this, and for good reason, because you and everyone else knows he isn't cut from the same cloth. And apparently - neither am I.

To be clear, I did tell you the events that transpired after I reentered the channel to hear Gongshow say it was partly my fault. You guys just thought I was overreacting. And that's fine. I don't think so. I think you're both way too soft, and that's why we started to butt heads ultimately.

The bottom line was: I didn't like what Retti was doing, so I decided to keep it real. That's really the best way to describe it: I was keeping it real. That's it.

It's not really an emotional response that I see you or Gongshow as a friendly acquaintance now. I don't mean it in an unfriendly way. It just sort of happened. You didn't give me the necessary room to be myself so I could shit down Retti's throat, I wanted that space, didn't get it, was irritated at how averse to being harder on people you both were, and shit just changed.

I did ask Letsjoe to gried Retti, though. That's true, but that's mostly because I was on an Enchanter and felt that dispels weren't strong enough for the punishment he'd just escaped from. Retti is one of those people that should've been kicked from the guild well before this even happened. I think I even suggested it when Holocaust started, and it was a great idea then.

This was going to be both propaganda had people from other guilds desired to make the server more interesting (they don't) and a from the heart critique of an otherwise minor problem with Empire. I'm not trying to rain hellfire, and even if I was I'm generally surprised your response is what it is seeing as though it would only make the server better. If I was trying to do as much damage as possible, Teamspeak logs would be far more effective and incriminating than something like this. And no, that's not a threat.

Your arrogance doesn't go unnoticed, though.

There's plenty of other people conflating the issue, though. I've never once said Empire was unfair about handing out loot or shitty about anything else (not that they're perfect).

They're just too soft, and it's annoying and unnecessary.
