Yeah because Vexing casts a DoT on the mob and gives you a buff. It doesn't follow the DD rules because it isn't one.

Lightning bolt had a small interrupt component yes, but I don't think it was as much as shock of lightning. It wasn't a stun but had some push to it. Would be interesting to see if that's actually recorded... if not it would make me wonder how some spells handled having a slight interrupt component.

This is just a my 2cp post.

They don't want it to tap. They want it to leech. Either with Vexing or VP Staff (Moar betters). As Potus described above, the first tic of the DoT will kill the target however it puts a buff on the necro which will heal them per tic what the DoT would normal do. Regardless of whether the DoT already killed your target or got dispelled.

Just so long as the Leech line of spells successfully lands on your target, you get that HoT buff on the necro.

Necro Forum 2001

Quote:
So, the primary use for the eye is to give necros something to tap / Bond / Vex when there is nothing else around to tap. There are a lot of creatures that necros cannot land taps on. No tapping, means no Lich, means no pacting, means no mana transfer. Even when we cannot land spells on the creature our group is fighting, we can still function in a support role (granted these are not the sexiest things necros do, but hey, it is a fact of life). If a necro finds himself in this situation and the group is allowing pets, just give the beads to a non-pet member of the group and have him / her recast the eye for you to tap.
He mentions taps and Vexing. It's just Vexing returns more HP over full duration than a single tap will. Costs a bit more mana but it lets you not drain while in Demi Lich and regain lost health for a full minute. Or just under that, 54s.

Completely agree [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]. Should hold after zoning or if the primary is dispelled off target. Should also heal for full amount but do the nerfed pvp rate of damage.

@Haynar: just for a sneak peak out of curiosity: will the red server be ready for aoe groups if they got say 140+ of fire/cold/mr (nothing used in aoe should land at these values)? It's something I'd leave to see again as an added bonus to pvp with greater depth/less instagib group pvp. We were able to do this all the time in seb/fungus grove. Here's just a lil source:

3. AE groups, make them! Rallos Zek has a channel called aejunkies, just for finding AE groups, make one like this on your server.

Hey Cland, I have aejunkies on autojoin.
So far my favorite ae group is:

3 enc
2 wiz
1 clr

Consider the 3rd chanter insurance. Generally the wizards pull. Its best if they have their epic and run 3.

This is absolutely the best way to get xp.
I group with guildies when not in ae groups, but I dont really worry about getting much exp in a regular group. Try this once and you will be hooked.

Zzule D`Aemon
High Priestess of Innoruuk
Disciple of Hate
Rallos Zek

No rush and can't wait @ same time! Any of the aoe stuns landing would have made the aoe group listed above impossible.
