One difference I notice between how I feel about Jan 6th and how leftists feel about the 2020 riots is I blame both the rioters AND the people in charge of managing the area’s safety, those who failed to put more police officers on the scene to handle a politically charged angry protest of thousands of people

It’s the same sort of negligence that would occur if you knew there was going to be an indoor festival with hundreds of people but planned it so poorly there was a stampede/crush or a fire that killed dozens

Yet the same logic is not applied to the 2020 rioters. Some on the left (very few) blame the rioters for breaking the law, yet I’ve never heard a single one call for better crowd control and security at a BLM protest getting out of control, because that’s rayciss

For example, if someone broke into a nuclear submarine and started turning all kinds of keys saying "Im launching the nukes!!!" but in reality, they were turning on backup generators and pumps, does that excuse them? They tried to launch a missile. They said that was their goal.

So what if they dont understand how missiles or submarines work.

No I’m not denying their intent. I have always laughed at previous statements made, some here but most by politicians, about how it “almost” succeeded or how efficacious it was
