He heard about it back in January. All he had to do was go, "Oh dope, a super good opportunity to unite the nation around hating china? Cool, start quarantining anyone coming in from anywhere, restrict travel, lock the borders down, start writing speeches."

It was suuuuuuch a huge opportunity to start ramping up nationalism around how fucking awesome we are, how awesome our scientists are, how awesome our healthcare is, instead he was super late to the party and waffled crazy hard and sowed division.

Trump had to toe a fine line politically.

If he is too aggressive, the economy suffers = he loses

If he is not agressive enough, more people die = he loses

There was no winning situation for the guy, especially in a country that is majority democrat, and a media that is out to get him.

I think looking back 10 years from now, we will all appreciate that Trump kept us out of wars, restored trade balance, and didnt cause the economy to collapse because of a virus that has killed (230,000)*.06 people.

Idk his supporters are pretty good at listening to him though, so if he told them all to stand by in feb, I think the entire conversation would have been better, and we'd have seen a big V for trump.

As for wars, I feel like the middle east is in its most unstable state that's been in since 9/11 prepare to blame Biden for trumps wars if Biden wins! Because I cant imagine that his one sided peace deal is going to not come crashing down if he has to step out of the office. I wonder if that's why no president has tried to force what trump tried to force? Maybe trump was just being reckless there, like he is everywhere else?

I disagree. Trump has never done anything right in the eyes of the MSM or democrats. Case in point, Trump shuts down travel from China and is called a xenophobe, and then months later is criticized for not shutting down travel sooner.

It doesn't matter though, of course that'd be the case but if he actually did act sooner he'd have a lot more credibility to back up his incessant fucking whining about it afterward.

Leading up to this election he would've had strong national support, he could've rallied the nation around an outside enemy instead of an internal one, he could've taken the opportunity to prove how much better he made America by showing how functional we are even if we're isolated, there should've been a zero percent chance he loses the election.

Trump doesnt do things because they are politically expedient. He does things because he thinks they are right or wrong. Thats why people vote for the guy.

Its easy for us to monday morning quarterback what was going on back in Jan - March. There was, and still is so much disinformation going on about Covid. The fact that the virus has had another outbreak in Europe points to this.

That's why I never really was bothered by him, I mean like, i didnt like the guy, ever, but I could deal with him in the white house, because a little bit of "im going with my gut" is what I love as an American.

But he took it too far and that was too much for me lol, when I got insulted daily over it, because he was telling everyone how stupid I was, I was like, screw it I'll figure out how to send my vote to NC. Where I lived when I was last registered. Which is what I was able to do!

So I actually had quite an impact this year, all because trump and you guys called me dumb [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] and if everyone just chilled for 1 year, I would have just watched instead of maybe been the 1 vote that tips it for Biden in NC lol
