Tape being used was just a fact that made your trying to blow this up more comical; it was moreso arguing that you guys were a little over the top with all this. Myu clearly did not think this violated the rules; if he wanted to use a third party program that just spammed the shit without going through the trouble to macro it on his keyboard and tape it down he easily could have. He could have taped that shit down and sat there if he wanted and it wouldnt have been illegal.

So a guy who can just setup his keyboard to repeatedly press a key automatically INSTEAD CHOOSES to set it up so that a held key will necessarily repeat its keystrokes (in an app like EQ where this isn't the normal behavior) and then tapes it down? Yeah fucking right.

I really dont see what is so outlandish about it Jeremy...all he did was set his normal bind button to a g-macro button because those can actually be held down without a problem. As far as the keyboard being able to do this automatically, without holding down the macro button, maybe it could and maybe it couldnt...just because something is capable of doing something doesnt mean the person using it is capable of taking it to its full potential.

I think he said it was a G510 Logitech, so if you want to play detective go for it.

When EQ raiding is all about discussing hitting a key yourself for hours or letting your computer do it for you, is when people should start rethinking their priorities and sense of achievement in life and/or how nostalgia gaming should be.

Why would I ask him? Why would I believe a guy who is trying to get FTE while AFK, a clear circumvention of the rules?

I'm not going to sit here and cry for blood and demand this dude be banned since I think that before today it was somewhat of a grey area. But if you expect me or anyone to believe that this dude actually chose to utilize only half the potential of his keyboard and then tape a key down instead of just embracing the full functionality (in this regard) and not tape anything, you crazy.
