I don’t know much about the raid scene but doesn’t this make big incentive for giant guilds not to exist? At least more than 1.

I would suspect a big guild will stick around but then there will be other players that splinter off and they start creating their own small 40-50 man factions.

Here's my 2 cents - if it's really about the race and the competition, why does it have to go away?

Most of the top guilds - I am sure - are big enough to form two teams. Green Team vs Orange Team! Shirts vs. Skins!

I mean, Aftermath (or [insert other guild]) has the best pullers on the server. Why wouldn't you want the best of the best competing against each other?

Fumanshu vs Elzhi! Monrezz vs. Fifield!

Heck, even organize tanks/heal chains and whatever. Bonus dkp to whoever gets FTE or the kill, or only that team can loot the dragon!

Note, when targets sit up and are conceded/uncontested, those guilds never do that? They just kill it as fast as possible to get the loot as fast as possible. Makes you wonder.
