don't think i've ever browsed thru a website that makes me laugh and then turns me absolutely irate so damn quickly.

Hot damn i hate hipsters...
If you've ever met some hipsters in real life you'd know that what the website captures is just a small glimpse into their world.

I liken them to elitist hippies. It would be cool if they were all about peace & love, just having a good time. Sadly they are just dirty hobo-like "non-conforming" pricks. Typically have a trust fund, listen to music you have never heard of (because they make a point to tell you). They're in to doing weird shit (as you can see from latfh.com), but to an outrageous extent. I've seen some, totally sober hipsters literally behave as those they were junkies fiending for the pipe.. I just don't get it.

I don't know why they have an obsession with Pabst Blue Ribbon and flannel. That shit is reserved for lumberjacks and rugged sob's.

Grunge guys had space for their junk in their jeans. I have no idea what's up with guys wearing girls' pants.

Living in nyc I see a ton of hipsters everyday (99% of whom live in willamsburg brooklyn). At first I didn't get it, all the shitty clothes and attitudes, but I've learned that most of them are actually quite cultured and smart and only get a bad rap because every single one of them does the same "non conformist" thing. But its kind of an identity that they can relate to and identify each other with and most of them are actually really cool, and I say this going in with the attitude of "what a bunch of lame douches". Talk to a few and go see a show of their bands and maybe u will see them differently. Maybe not.

Tldr: hipsters can be interesting if you give them a fair chance.
