I wasn't the bard in question but thanks for the personal attack when I'm trying to help you out here.
I didn't say you don't have skill. You earned your BotB title. That wasn't a personal attack (against you). But is that baby bard really going to have to put in the work you, Fauss, or I have put into the raid scene? Maybe with FE knocking on your door, but TMO's guild bank is so stocked I doubt he'll have much farming to do. You will hand him gear on a silver platter, and he'll slobber it up while pulling Sev's around CoM all day. TMO's standards have fallen, by your own admission.

The rest of it was a reaffirmation of my beliefs that TMO and other members of the server have been trying to belittle me because I wasn't 60 for the longest time. Now a case like this arises and my skill set is infinitely more important than whether I'm L60 or not. Of course I'm going to rub it in everyone's face, they've been rubbing the non-60 fact in my face for almost 2 years.

I posted to provide information and understanding to someone I consider a friend of mine on this server.

I'll agree bards have a bond, and I'm happy for every bard that gets epic on this server (even those "handed" epics by my standard). But you are turning a macroscopic pulling issue into one about an individual. If that player doesn't know how to pull, you need to teach him how to pull before he gets your raid force in trouble.

Completely untrue, but I wouldn't expect you to know. It would take the average new member months before they would qualify to ask for something out of a reserve they didn't help make yet. Ironically enough, I GUESS WE LEARNED THAT FROM FISCHEMMEL. Give me the 3/4 of my bards epic I MQd to you!!!! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

now this i can get behind, if your willing to use a new puller I believe your risking the mob if he does it incorrectly. its not an excuse, if you really wanted the mob you would have used a more experience puller in a competition setting, if there were no other force then yeah teach him all day.

But you cant expect another raid to wait around because hes learning.

did I flip flop or take a side? damn...

That Fisch story was totally awesome as an outsider. His character is even in FE now, that's gotta sting a bit. But ya, I can see how that would temper dealings with new members.

no matter how many extras are in the bank it would just be retarded to give it to a brand new member. just my opinion

I know its contested, but its also BiS. Its a balance of what is needed more, a BiS bard now, or the possibility of losing a mob due to not having the gear. Personally, I wouldn't give the gear, and Zagum says TMO doesn't either (which I can believe, especially after the Fisch ordeal). But there is a tipping point on that scale, and its going to come with increased competition and burn-out.

I'm not commenting on the GM decision or how someone did or did not earn their epic (however i think that if you're making the effort to try pull dragons against competition, you're earning everything you get). I'm simply saying this particular Sev pull was absolutely an honest mistake but it's your right to believe whatever you want.
