no, but it sure is nice pretending.
Almost 75% of our budget is for liberal welfare programs. Over the last 20 years America has shifted far to the left. The left wing has all the spine in the world. It's the republicans that are the ultimate losers.

Consider this. What is considered liberal democrat stances in the 90's would be considered far right dangerous and extremist today. What does that tell you about how left and right has shifted? We've shifted far to the left. Republicans exist to conserve but tell me one thing they've conserved. The budget? It's constantly higher and higher. No conservation there. Social issues? Socially we look nothing like we did from the 90s because liberals have pushed the envelope so much. Everything porn, younger and younger getting into sex, family unit breaking down, glorification of LGBT. Left wing is running wild on the right wing which has no defense.

Don't believe me? Look at Bill Clinton's campaign from the 90s. Take a collection of his stances. He would be considered far right extremist in 2019.

Clinton said, "I remain opposed to same-sex marriage. I believe marriage is an institution for the union of a man and a woman. This has been my long-standing position, and it is not being reviewed or reconsidered."

Imagine if a politician running for president said this today.

Liberals and left wing has been amazingly effective over the last 20-30 years. Republicans have been utterly and completely useless if you measure them by their ability to 'conserve'.

Let's have some perspective here.

And Reagan opened the borders too. Gives you an appreciation of the very incredible failure of our republicans to conserve.

What is their function if they don't conserve?

I've thought about this. I've philosophized greatly. The answer?

Republicans exist to be losers to democrats. To be slowly eroded on and lose on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. Name one thing republicans have conserved over time up to modern day.

I can only think of one- billions of dollars to Israel every year.

Are you aware the US went bankrupt in the 1930s?

Our debt rose from 5.8 trillion to 20.1 trillion from 2001-2017. You think this is normal population growth and spending to scale?

So 5 trillion to 20 trillion over a small amount of years has no effect on you. I think those #s are already extreme but for the sake of making a point lets pretend it's even more extreme. Let's say over that period debt ballooned from 5 trillion to 100 trillion. Is this still simply a matter of "numbers go up"?
