Yeah that's an insane analogy for so many reasons. People don't call you a nazi if you don't use somebody's preferred nickname. There aren't entire state legislatures in the US trying to make it a criminal offense not to use somebody's preferred nickname, which is already a crime in parts of canada. And nobody tries to emotionally blackmail you with the threat of suicide if you don't use their preferred nickname.

I don't think sam seder is unintelligent but that's kind of why he's so frustrating, he just lockstep adheres to liberal orthodoxy even when it's so insane that I can't believe he doesn't know better.

In that video I posted he plays like ten clips of dems specifically saying the voting machines being used in the 2016 election were highly vulnerable to hacking. But yeah also a bunch of russia conspiracy horseshit. They just threw out a huge hodgepodge of allegations cause they lost, but then in 2020 when they won they made it borderline criminal to say the exact same things they were saying five seconds ago. I don't understand how anyone still supports these people.

I think people could learn a lot from his communication style in debates. He speaks slowly, his tone is measured, and I personally think tone is important. If anything, if you don’t want to be interrupted or shut down when attempting to make a point, the more I would say “disinterested” or “dispassionate” you can make your tone, the better. Passion and anger to me is a very ugly look in debates, it shows a lack of control. And since you are trying to persuade the audience to see your point, being bullish just makes them mentally defensive

He also scores points for asking lots of clarifying questions. I would say he is a better debater than Anna Kasparian of the Young Turks. The only areas where I would put her ahead is she is much more attractive (although needs to tone down the damn makeup, Jesus), and she makes concessions. I haven’t heard Sam make a concession ever

Too many concessions makes you look weak to the audience. Too few and you seem close-minded

Notice he's not actually saying anything positive about trump, he's pointing out how obviously corrupt and duplicitous dems are, because he's even farther left than them. And I agree with all of it, as one of the resident "right wing fascists" on this forum. So how does that work?

I dunno man it's complex. People can agree on certain things and not others. Otherwise intelligent people make bad moves sometimes.

I’ve always felt like the far left and far right both have authoritarianism in common, it’s just the reasons are different. Both want strong control, banning the “wrong” ideas
