Bad choice, Mountain Dane! All well, I'll still wish you a happy birthday nonetheless! HAPPY BIRFDAY!

Think of it this way: the divinity proposal that FE and TMO were so against was to give us 14 days (regardless of how variance worked out) to the guilds outside them and IB of mobs they could not contest (minus a few that they would be in the rotation on as well). which with variance would work out to less than 50%.

Rogeans proposal takes variance out of the picture since it is every other mob and not just 14 days that a variance can throw completely out of whack, and also has a lockout so that we will get a lions share during simulated repops as well. And TMO/FE/IB don't get any of them, unlike the first 14 days on the divinity rotation plan. So in the end more than 50% outside of VP.

And those of us in our own tier can work out how we will work together with each other without those other guilds bringing those talks to a standstill. We were all pretty much of a like mind before this so working out the details will not be that hard I think. The Tier one Guilds can effectively continue to play in their own way in their own sandbox without us.

This is better than what we were trying to get in the divinity proposal during the talks when you really think about it. We should embrace this. The staff compromise has my complete support

So what part of that is equal for all guilds? Punish 2 guilds more then any other guilds, because they have the ability to mobilize fast and kill targets. What happens now if TMO kills like 90 percent of the mobs during tmo/fe/ib days, and fe/ib doesnt get any kills, how is this fair to them? You are all about being equal, yet your treating tmo/fe/ib to different standards....lol.....amusing.

to me, honestly I dont care what system we get or go with- hell I will not raid anything outside VP personally if Velious is free and normal with low variance, high parralel spawns- and let the natural order happen.

velious will be bad on rotation of any sort or any hybid lockout system etc... Velious will fix so much giving the "B" guilds almost everything in classic and kunark and even stuff in velious like the sea dragon, lord bob, velk, vindi (so fast spawn) etc

FE/TMO don't want equal, they stated as much and proposed the same. They want to be rewarded for what they deem exceptional effort and dedication, at least that's what they call it. The casual side calls that crazy. That's the crux of this entire rift. TMO/FE want their 100% competition etc etc, the casuals don't mind competing but not at the level FE/TMO do mainly because the barrier to entry is so incredibly high.

There's a difference between how BDA, Taken, and Divinity compete compared to how TMO/FE compete. The GM plan allows TMO/FE to stay within their heated battle for server supremacy which fosters their need for competition. The plan also allows the other guilds to work out some type of agreement that helps foster more good will and sharing while catering to the casual playstyle.

I like the plan, and I think with a few tweaks everyone can get what they want. For example I'd lower the lockout timer down to something like 2 hours. 6 hours is a long time to keep a mob up and delaying a kill that long also affects the tier 1 guilds adversely which is a bit unfair. Also we can talk about making exceptions for VP on full repops since the tier 2 guilds obviously aren't shooting for those targets and it could potentially force tier 1 guilds to leave up mobs which seems a bit illogical.

Velious will make things a lot better for "casual guilds" but it is not a cure all...

The GMs hinted a few weeks ago that they were considering fixing Sleeper's Tomb so that it wouldn't be a 1-time event. I don't think any decision on the matter was officially shared with the server public yet.

I assume that part of the breaking point is that the dev team is spending 100s of hours of their "free time" to get zones like ST to work properly...

A compromise before this was offered that would have given them a greater share, as well as greater competition (divinity proposal.) But they wouldn't have it
