When my aunt asked me yesterday how she should vote on the questions in New Jersey, I told her to vote 'yes' so that way she would be able to drive out low-level drug dealers and replace them with a legal taxable product that produced revenue which would then help her avoid any losses of old-people benefits.

You should see how quickly she agreed to flood the streets with low-grade dirt weed.

Some were worried that some of the plans would later, through no means of anyone involved making the important choices, somehow be used to eat away at individual rights.

As far as taxing it with all the rules and regulations that must go in, I would think the only benefit would be getting your state out of debt, not further into it. Giving it all a bad name and only reinforcing the stereotype of hippy dippy potheads, another way of saying irresponsible people.

You would be surprised at all the squares sucking on their bongs around here in NJ/NY.

I mean literally shocked. There are so many old people just searching for any cure what ails them. Oils, boils and toils, crystals and magic, whatever. CBD is just another miracle cure, and so is the weed. And the marijuana business lobby is just pushing and pushing it round here as this reputable medical business. Medical!

The potheads don't want legal weed. Or rather they're pretty ambivalent. All the anecdotal stories I hear is the public weed is less potent and more expensive, and also they miss the social component. In a store you're in and out, but when you get your weed you hang out. You roll some, talk a bit. The dealer is not your best friend, but at least he's a type of friend, whereas the guy in the store is just some guy.

All states with legalized weed are eventually lost.
(Sorry, lulberts)
Not merely because of who it attracts from out-of-state, but because of the big government programs it incentivizes. It's never mere decriminalization. It portends government getting INTO the weed business.

I'm up in Canada Razor and I can tell you that you are correct. Everyone here excited until "legalization". 12 laws to break when it was illegal, now 47 related to weed that you can now be charged with. It's not legalization - it's "institutionalization" and "control".

Edit: I am a bad person who is only interested in cruel pragmatism. Forbid one such as me for paying attention to individual rights on this one specific issue. no no.. we need to pay more attention to junkies, that is the answer! Forget everyone else.

I would ask for Pat's thoughts on this but I see he has been banned.

Try making the Official Great Wall of Off Topic and the Official Trans Thread. Then, to demonstrate your authority, deliberately posting black dick porn in such a pattern that the administrators wipe all of your posts including the two biggest threads EVER when you make your exit.

Now that's the big-time. That's forum flow mastery.

Do you have any idea what that feels like?
The dull ache of grieving for wasted years that comes now and again late in the night with Bruckner as your sole companion?

TRUMP DECLARES VICTORY IN PENNSYLVANIA!

Prediction:

Trump wins Pennsylvania then goes on to snag WI, MI, NV, or AZ, and takes the presidency. Either WI or MI won via recount + investigation. AZ or NV maybe break late for Trump. Possible recount.

Vote fraud or "multiple errors" (which all break in favor of Biden) is found during recount/investigation, or obvious attempts at voter fraud (kicking out poll watchers, etc.)

Durham report is released.

Hunter goes to Jail.

Joe manages to avoid jail, but lives the rest of his short life in dementia and shame.

Mail-in ballots are fraudulent unless they're done in a red state. They know how to do it!!

No they are vulnerable to manipulation. That's the entire point. Even actual in person ballots are vulnerable to manipulation, but at least less so. You don't vote by telepathy into a magic 100% corruption-proof computer; human beings with all their flaws and biases are involved.
