I mean like, we import low skilled workers willing to do work for half the cost to do the jobs the robots would be doing.

We don't even want teenagers working at fast food anymore because some weirdos think we've evolved to be too good for that kind of labor.

I think its insane that we talk about costs going up if we dont use slaves in 3rd world countries, or to import people willing to do these jobs at lower costs.

Robots doing these jobs instead of slaves who are being exploited is much more moral.

I am sorry that is just a fact.

You wouldn't even think about socialism if it wasnt for capitalism giving you the freedom to do that. And just like that, after we replace the slave labor with robots... we will all have the time to figure out how to divert basic income to everyone who was doing them before.

Usually the desperate people line refers to labor shortages in the agriculture sector.

You can't eat nurses.

The thing that is an issue is with slave labor, you can still act like you're "helping 3rd world countries"

So people who generally pretend to care about victims, can say "they are getting jobs!"

Which is an insane thing for someone who hates rich people to say in the first place, but ok yeah, they are getting jobs, and they are happier vaping 500,000 times a day to test vape pens and dying of cancer sure.

BUT.... that doesn't make it right.

At least with robots we can all objectively say, ok I guess "jobs" are something we have moved past as a society, now what?

At least until we fuck up and make AGI/ASI and then the robots are even more slaves than the slaves [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Also just because someone is born in America to a broken family trying to make ends meet.

Doesn't make them any less deserving of the jobs they could have had if they weren't flooded with people who have literally nothing, never even heard of workers rights, and so are able to work for less.

So we're already ruining innocent peoples lives as is. At least with robots we wont be able to virtue signal about "morality" while we do it.

Imagine if a charity, or poverty centers, organized farms of robots to feed the world.

It's insane to me to be against this.

Quote:
money in circulation as a result of charity in the united states is estimated to be about $592.5 billion each year.
They could definitely build and maintain robots to feed the poor indefinitely.

Probably could turn the whole entire world into a giant urban garden.

For there to be inequality in a world where robots have made labor obsolete (let alone any job) it would have to be a full blown cybertronic police state. Or the 8 billion humans who were starving and out of work would kill their masters and rip every robot to pieces.

I strongly believe the humans would defeat the robots should inequality arise.

Were talking 8+ billion people vs, 200, 300 million robots. It would take a long time to build more than that.

Quote:
Q: given ai take over, and resources, and time and costs that go into building anything, even by a completely automated workforce. How long would it approximately take to produce 200 million labor robots.

A: If you include real-world bottlenecks and resources, it could easily stretch to 10–20 years.
Even to get to the point that we'd be building the "t-100s" that were able to police us and couldn't be defeated with a jump rope tangling up their ankles, we'd already have to be at a point where most menial labor jobs have already long since been replaced.

By then there would either be a amicable resolution between the bot makers, and the billions of people who once had jobs who don't now and are starving... or a revolution that would have made one.

I predict life in 25 years is going to be pretty dope.
