This is killing perfectly healthy adults in their prime. This isn't the bird flu, that's what makes generating the hysteria so easy- this is a legit contender

-zero symptom incubation period
-kills healthy adults
-highly contagious
-its moves back and forth from species
-CDC does not have a 100% test for it

Its scaling to kill 1-4% infected which is higher than almost all of pandemics

Edit- In case people missed it, The fact it's moving between species means it's impossible to contain it

Most sources seem to indicate that for younget adults and children it usually presents as a bad cold. Still serious but the mortality rate is being skewed by that many younger people dont even feel bad enough to go to a doctor. Things like the 22 year old Iranian soccer player dying have been confirmed false.

And as far as the dog thing goes, seems like hearsay thus far woth a lot of conflicting reports.

People are right to be concerned but lets not get too carried away.

Yeah, people at the greatest risk are small children, the elderly and people who already have underlying health issues. The problem is the lack of severity of symptoms and fear of catching it going to seek proper health care is going to make containing it near impossible. Basically, unless a vaccine is made, tested and administered world wide this thing is gonna be widespread and there is a high likelyhood most of us here will come in direct contact. Wash your hands, don’t go in public if you don’t need to, drink lots of water, be healthy. Stay safe guys!

What I read as well, i was referring to it killing healthy 30-40 range which is disturbing. The reinfection thing isn't confirmed but if that's added to the list oh boy.

The biggest problem is this started in China so who the fuck knows information wise. I'm not a huge tinfoil hat guy but if this continues to check boxes on the list "if I made a pandemic superweapon" I dont know lol

A virus that has a chance to be a pandemic just ~happens~ to start in the city with a state-owned virology research lab is located, that uses bats for testing, which also happens to be the suspected animal used it the soup that started this whole thing.....

Ya, that's a real crazy jump to conclusions type of tin foil leap. I'm definitely the idiot in this scenario.

And yes, that would be the same virus research lab built to study, wait for it, the last coronavirus strain (sars) outbreak there. I'm sure it's all just a big coincidence
