Classic to PoP, not sure if that is considered classic in regards to this project.
Try it out, you'll find that (expansions aside) EQMac is far more authentic and true to the period than P99. let's not even mention the differences in functionality...

I love it here, but this is tugging hard.

Hard!

There is no reason why you cant play both. Both servers help keep classic EQ alive. Everyone knows about p99 on eqmac and both servers co existing helps both servers out imo.

If i wasn't so busy purifying my server, i would be over here and fully intend to very soon.

Heya Lron,

I surfed the forums over there the other day and kind of got a vibe like we are unwelcome over there, PC users that is. I'd love to check it out if people are cool, tho.

My earlier post got me wondering...how do vet rewards work there? If I use my old main station account can I access my rewards on al'kabor?

Stalkers aren't that great. Not really enough of them and a lot of druids like to do them too. I used to do gargs or nettling wraiths in the back, or POD flies. But once you get your pop AAs with extended range you can aoe kite bugs in valor. Like the whole upper part of the zone. I'd get like 3AA per kite back in the day.

If I wasn't having such a blast playing Tera I might give the old EQ a go, but I just don't think I can go back to an auto attack style game. Tera/Age of Conan really got it right.

I had no problem getting this to work.

that link people keep tossing out for the launchpad wouldn't work for me but i just googled eqmac client and downloaded it from soe's website.

I really enjoy that they haven't nerfed night/ultra vision on eqmac

one thing i noticed when installing was when i did a fresh install of the titanium client.. it put it in a directory with an extra folder like C:/...sony/everquest/(bunch of files here)

if you just move the folder to EQMac directory.. the game will start up then crash with that 1017 (iirc) error when you reach select al kabor and click play.

you have to take the bunch of files part out of whatever starting directories there are and put them directly into the eqmac directory and it wont crash anymore.

pretty much if there is a folder in a folder by itself.. its wrong and won't work

I maxxed AA for 55 at the stalkers and had a blast doing it. Different strokes, I guess.

I quit eq because of the pok, books, cats on the moon, aliens, bazaar. They lost the cohesive feel of the game after velious. Any way this thread should probably be on off topic.

Go to https://lp.soe.com/eqmac/live/ and login with a station username and password. This downloads the ACTUAL EQMac client to your computer.
When I go to that link, it loads a blank grey box with an everquest logo above it and some account management links at the bottom. Am I missing something?
