Learning is just realizing truths that were already there. It's nothing to be proud of. In fact, you should be humbled by the fact that it takes so long to even realize it's there after unknowingly walking past it an infinite number of times.

It's even more frightening to realize you can learn untruths as well.

This discussion is far afield from the topic of sex.

I guess the reason I care is how do Christians see 'christ-like' behavior in other people that are here with us on Earth if they can never measure up to Jesus himself.

If other folks sacrifice themselves in some manner or other to benefit people on Earth are there any similarities even if the person didn't claim to be God. Aaron Schwartz was just a dude and never claimed the divinity that Jesus claimed. His sacrifice helped many people though (do I think it is on the same level? no) and many of those he helped don't know about it.

It just seems like there may be some kind of overarching Archtype of a particular kind of person. The whole 'you will be known by your deeds' type.
