So Tuna, remember those airliners that flew into buildings? One of 'em even crashed in a field somewhat close to where I live in PA.

That was the narrative used to invade Afghanistan. Go attack people who attacked us. I can accept that, regardless of hidden agendas. Things like this are also a flex to the world about our military prowess. Sometimes you just have to "show the flag."

as a matter of fact i think if we didn't have a cold war and the russians were left unimpeeded they would have russionized and modernized all of that continent, but we really fucked with them A LOT to the extant that we are pretty much 100% responsible for the state of the world as it is today, i think a lot of ppl would be happy to see us close our borders and go all cuba or bolivia. in our own narcissistic death spiral
