At some point we could work towards some grand utopia were everyone has similar access to resources, gets issued a badge, and a phaser, and a communicator, and a tricorder, and we could rehabilitate everyone into total freedoms, but we have over 30,000 years of war, poverty, bigotry, prejudice, substance abuse, ideological zealotry, pollution, domestic abuse, exploitation, slavery, damaging our bodies and environment etc to overcome first, at the very very least
