returning to project 1999

Ench or Necro for the Wizard duo. You already have ports, clarity is always nice, and if you can stay in a fear kite with the necro, also works wonders. You don't have the issue (well, maybe you do) of your duo partner not bitching you don't carry your weight (in game of course) so you can just do what you'd like. I've had fun with two Wizards at once as well. later levels it makes for really fun quadding, etc

Another Wizard, you can play pinball outdoors and root/nuke indoors. Things should die very quickly, and then have some downtime while medding. Since you get ports, you could always make it to EC fairly quickly and get Clarity to help speed up mana recovery.

ranger is a long hard road ><

little tanking ability, average dps at best, some utility but not much, nothing super special that she couldnt get from another class, no plate....

and the dreaded 40% hybrid xp penalty, tho since you will be grouping together you'll be sharing that. As her personal cleric you two shouldnt have too much trouble fighting together.

but still... may want to reconsider. you dont have to, obviously, i just have a thing against rangers =P thought i'd warn you as to the pitfalls of the class.
