What i do not understand as a outsider looking in at this election why your country is satisfied electing a president for 2 years of work and 2 years of campaigning. Seems like you are binding the hands of the man in charge and forcing him to spend most of his time trying to keep his job with bullshit campaign jargon and keeping him away from the real issues.

Removal of fix election dates and addition of campaigning spending limits would help your country more then you would believe.

Here's hoping the loser does not file a court action to string this bull shit out even longer.
Agreed, this country's election system is fucked. When was the last time a regular joe got elected? fuck these rich pricks

Where do we get this notion that the president should be average by any metric? He should be exceptional in nearly every standard.

People generally prefer a doctor who went to Duke versus a 3rd tier college. People generally recognize that an experienced attorney with a top 14 education tends to be more skillful on average than someone who grated from a tier 3 school.

We should consider it an asset on every level when a presidential candidate possess the means to enrich himself through his own efforts.

You mean like Bronco Bamma? I know you can't mean the guy who was born rich and who got richer by borrowing money to buy businesses in order to borrow more money and sell those now highly indebted businesses.

My comment is referring to no specific individual.

I am simply challenging the notion that it is laudable for the President to be an "average joe."

It is not a worthy aspiration, in my view, to hope that the President be average in any serious capacity.
